Notarized Certification of a True Copy
of a Document -

Certificate of a true copy is a certificate approving that a copy of a document is true and identical to the original document. This may be required, for instance, in the case of a parents who wish to certify a copy of his passport when applying for a passport of his child.

Notarized Authentication Of Signatures -

Confirming that the identification of the person signing a document was checked and approved by the notary in accordance with the law.

Inventory Certificate Of Approval

An Inventory certificate of approval is a certificate approving that an inventory list is accurate and true.
Notarized Affidavit -

A notarized affidavit is an affidavit that has been signed and approved by an Israeli licensed notary.
Occasionally, authorities request that affidavits are signed and approved by notaries and will not be satisfied with an affidavit approved by an attorney at law.

Notarized Will -

A notarized will is helpful is ensuring that the testator’s capacity was met at the time of entering into the will and testament.
The advantages of a notarized will are:
1. The Testator may state his/her will orally or in writing in the presence of a notary with no need for additional witnesses.
2. Notarized wills have stronger weight than other wills minimizing potential future claims of disqualification and nullification.
Notarized Life Certificates -

Israeli law authorizes Israeli licensed notaries to issue life certificates.
An example of when this may be required is when one receives payments from the National Insurance Institution and due to advanced age or otherwise, National Insurance requires verification that the recipient is alive.
Apostille -

An apostille is a certification issued by the legal authorities of a country certifying that a document issued by the country is official, authentic and issued by the legal authorities.
It also confirms the notary’s authority to approve notarized documents.
The apostille verifies the notary’s signature on the document and confirms that the notary is a licensed notary in accordance with the Israeli law.
Any notary document may be provided with an Apostille according of the Hague Convention of October 5, 1961, so that it may be used in any of the countries which have signed the said convention. Certain foreign countries will request an apostille for specific public documents or notarized approvals. Contact Michel Epstein, Notary today to

A prenuptial agreement is an agreement settling all matters of assets and finances between couples.
A prenuptial agreement that has not been approved according to law is invalid and therefore unenforceable.

In a nutshell, the notary’s role upon providing notarized translations is to certify that the document has been accurately translated.

This applies for both English into Hebrew documents as well as Hebrew into English.

I also provide notarized translations for many other languages.

Please note, under Israeli law, there are two types of notarized translations.
1. Notarized approval regarding the truth and accuracy of the contents of the translation. This type of approval requires (according to Israeli law) that the notary is fluent in both languages. The language being translated from and the language being translated to.
2. Notarized approval regarding the translator’s declaration concerning the truth and accuracy of the contents of his/her translation.
The type of notarial translation needed is determined by the authority or institute requiring the translation. Therefore, before obtaining notarized translation services, please inquire what type of approval the authority or institute requires.

If the language of the translation is for something other than Hebrew/English? There is a mechanism whereby a Notary can provide a notary certificate for the translator’s statement. Meaning, the notary can have the translator of that specific language attest before the notary that his translation is a true and accurate translation.
